Hello and welcome to my site.

I'm a freelance writer based in Singapore, and Deputy Editor of BEAM, the monthly magazine of the British Association, for which I contribute a range of interviews, articles and reviews. I'm also a 'star reviewer' for the food section of InSing.com, Singapore's online restaurant and lifestyle guide.

I spent many years penning marketing copy for Oxford University Press and I continue to work as a freelance copywriter for the publisher Wiley-Blackwell, creating back cover blurbs and web copy. I'm currently completing a Post-graduate Diploma in Journalism with the London School of Journalism.

Originally from the UK, I have twice lived in China, which has led to opportunities for remarkable travel around Asia and some fascinating cultural insights, both of which have provided invaluable material for writing. I write compellingly on a diverse range of issues, from parenting a child with special needs, to the joys of watching Echo and the Bunnymen. Writing is a passion as well as a career, and I approach all commissions with total professionalism and a healthy dose of enthusiasm.
